Star's Testimonial About Vein Treatment With Dr. Jones
“I started having problems with my legs about 6 months prior to before I came to The Vein and Vascular Institute. The problem I was having was severe swelling of my left leg but I also had trouble with my right leg but my left leg was the worse. It also had a really bad pain as well.
It really limited my ability to do anything throughout my days. When I would go with my family I really didn’t want to go many times because I already woke up in the morning with pain in my leg and the bad swelling.
I really wasn’t sure if anything could be done or really if I would just be living with this the rest of my life. So after a while I went ahead and I saw my regular doctor here and I asked for a recommendation and they gave me two names. The other office as well as this office The Vein and Vascular Institute.
Well I did a little bit of research and I determined that this is where I wanted to go because they did more up-to-date procedures. So I did make my appointment. They were so nice. I came and they were wonderful. The staff was great. They really even put me at ease about everything. I came and they did procedures on me, determined what was going on with my legs.
I was diagnosed with venous insufficiency. It’s actually kind of hard to think that you can have venous insufficiency at my age. You always think it’s just older people. But that’s what I was diagnosed with and I’m just really thrilled that they did diagnose it and they were able to help me and my legs.
Once I was diagnosed with venous insufficiency, then the procedure that I underwent was the laser therapy treatment they do here. Honestly it’s a quick procedure. It’s painless pretty much. Every once in a while you might feel a prick from a needle but there’s nothing really to that.
It was quick, you get done, you sit in a chair for a few minutes and then you can go home. There’s hardly any down time. You know you just have to do a little bit what they ask you to do, follow their instructions and you go right back to having a normal life. It’s amazing!
I had Dr Jones and he’s new to the group from what I understood, but he’s fantastic.
The first time I met him he was so personable, so down-to-earth. And I talked with him and he really talked with me. He explained my whole situation, what was going on. He asked me if I had any questions, additional questions. And he answered any questions I had.
Then of course when I had the procedure he made sure I understood everything that was going on moment-by-moment. He explained the fact that okay now we’re going to do this and he would continue to go on and if there was going to be a little bit of pain he would tell you…and if there was any pain he’d apologize for it. I mean he was just wonderful.
And then when I came back, you can tell he really cares about his patients. He really does because he actually sits down, takes the time, even after the procedure to see how you’re doing, if you have any questions once again, and how you’re feeling, how’s your leg doing. He just wants to make sure that what he has done is working like it’s supposed to be doing.
Honestly, Dr. Jones, in my opinion is top notch. He’s fantastic. I would go to him anytime again for any vein and vascular issue I would have.
After the 24 hours you’re allowed to take the bandage off. You take the bandage off and wonder what it’s going to look like. I took it off and it looked really good. There are no incision marks. There may be some bruising, I had a little bit, but that was just me. You may not get any.
I had a total of 6 surgeries on my legs and they all looked great. Today you could look at my legs and you would never know that I had anything done with them.
Dr. Jones did a great job. I was just so amazed how painless it was and how wonderful my legs looked. And because of the job that he did with my legs, I have a new life with my legs now. I’m able to do things that I couldn’t do before. I have more stamina. My legs are not tired in the morning. They’re not painful any longer. They’re wonderful they feel great. There’s no swelling and they feel fantastic.
I just want to thank Dr. Jones here at The Vein and Vascular Institute for giving me back my life.
Another thing I should mention also. If any of you out there have swelling of your legs, heaviness, pain and discomfort and you know you have it but you’re not sure that’s what it is. That’s how I was and I didn’t think anyone could help me. I was living that way for 20 years. I couldn’t imagine that anybody would be able to help me like that.
So if by any chance you have any of those symptoms… swelling, pain, discomfort, heaviness in your legs you should really seek a doctor. And I recommend that you should for sure come to The Vein and Vascular Institute because they changed my life and they could change your life.
Just remember that it wouldn’t hurt to make an appointment because you never know. You could be the next person with a new life.”
